La vie en rose in Ghent & Antwerp

Pink interiors and sweets are a few of my favorite things. The two combined were the not so secret ingredients for some good times with my girls the last couple weeks.

Cocotine – Ghent

Back in December E. told me about a Pop-Up shop from Styling by Claudia that was taken place at Cocotine. So clothes, sweets and pink… WE HAD to go and check it out.

Cocotine is located at the ‘Muide’, a little bit outside of Ghent’s city center, but so worth the trip! Pretty pink pastels are dominating the coffee spot and immediately make you feel at home.

The name ‘Cocotine’ refers to concept coffee, as sweet owner Ebru specializes in signature coffees. Naturally you can also enjoy delicious organic tea infusions and freshly squeezed juices. The brunch menu is available throughout the day! Hooray! Also the toasts and sandwiches seemed too good to be true, but I’m sure that it’s the soy pancakes that will make you come back for more. Or should I say make me coming back for more? Hihi!

Cuisinette Domestic – Antwerp

I’ve promised my sister to treat her on an afternoon tea for a while now, so when we were planning our shopping trip to Antwerp it was time to deliver on that promise. There are a lot of options in Antwerp, but when we saw the luxurious pink interiors of Cuisinette Domestic our decision was made quite quickly. Haha, yes she loves pink as much as I do!

Bakery Cuisinette Domestic is located in the heart of Antwerp, more precisely in the ‘Lange Gasthuisstraat’. So conveniently close to Antwerp’s main shopping streets, and thus exactly what we needed when we started to feel hungry from shopping. #shoppingiscardio!

The high tea formula costs € 31 per person and includes 4 savory snacks, 5 sweets and as much tea or coffee as your heart desires. Both L. and I. adored the sweet snacks! The savory snacks were very original and surprising. Truth be told: I wasn’t much of a fan of the cold veggie spring roll thingie. I rather would have had a traditional cucumber sandwich, but that’s just me. I love those cucumber sandwiches! Overall a great experience though!
